Customized Maxillofacial Implant - Titanium
The additive manufacturing allows us to melt the titanium layer by layer by laser, which allows to have a more precise three-dimensional result than traditional techniques such as machining and pressing. It allows us to create almost any shape, size or structure.
It is designed to follow the surface of the jaw before resection or to follow the surface of any bone graft (fibula, iliac crest, etc.). Since these types of reconstruction plate fit perfectly to the jaw of patients, there is no need for locking screws.
The final design of the reconstruction plate is printed in 3D (Additive Manufacturing) in any of our 2 variations of Ti6Al4V (Grade 5 and Grade 23), which is a much stronger alloy than the titanium alloy used for standard plates.
